 「パーソナリティとインディビジュアリティとを区別して理解しないといけません。 

パーソナリティというのは、永遠の実在であるインディビジュアリティが地上生活中に見せる特殊な側面にすぎません。 

インディビジュアリティとしては霊的意識体は無始無終に存在しております。が、それが地上に顕現するためにはパーソナリティという地上的形態を持たねばなりません。 

つまりパーソナリティというのはインディビジュアリティが物的身体を通して顕現している部分で、いわばマスクであって、本当の顔ではありません。 

あくまでも地上だけの人物像であり、内的実在の物的表現にすぎません」

「となると、再生する目的は、そのパーソナリティを大きくするためでしょうか、インディビジュアリティの方ではなくて……」

「必ずしもそうとは言えません。 

再生するのはインディビジュアリティの別の部分であることがあるからです。その新しい部分による地上体験によって、全体のインディビジュアリティの開発が促進されるわけです。 

インディビジュアリティはパーソナリティよりはるかに大きいのですが、この“大きい”というのは霊的な意味でのことでして、その意味はどう説明したところで、地上の人間には理解していただけません」

「では、あなたの知っている方で、この地上へ再生して行った人がいますか」

「います、沢山います。ですが、（上の説明でもわかる通り）それを証明してあげるわけにはいきません。わたしの言葉を信じていただくほかはありません。もちろん、否定なさってもかまいません。真理は、否定されたからといって、いささかも影響はうけません」

The conscious body exists endlessly, but in order for it to manifest on the earth, it must have the earthly form of personality.
