大半の人間は地上だけが人間の住む世界だと考えています。

現在の生活が人間生活の全てであると思い込み、

そこで物的なものを───

いずれは残して死んでいかねばならないものなのに───

せっせと蓄積しようとします。

戦争、流血、悲劇、病気

の数々も元はと言えば人間が今その時点において

立派に霊的存在であること、

つまり人間は肉体のみの存在ではないという

生命の神秘を知らない人が多すぎるからです。

人間は肉体を通して自我を表現している霊魂（スピリット）なのです。

それが地上という物質の世界での生活を通して魂を生長させ発達させて、

死後に始まる本来の霊の世界における生活に備えているのです」

困難の中にあって怖じけず、

いかなる緊張の中にあっても動ぜずに

次のように宣言できる人の信念にこそ本当の価値があります。

───風が吹こうが嵐が狂おうが、

世界がいかに混乱し全てが暗黒に包まれ絶望的になろうと、

宇宙の全生命を創造し神性を賦与した力は決して

自分をお見捨てにならないと信じる。

知識と経験による不動の基盤の上に築いた完璧な信念に安住して、

私は絶対に動じない、と。

　宇宙の大霊すなわち神の力はあなた方人間を通して流れるのです。

もし人間が確固たる不動の冷静さを保ち得ずに怖じけづいてしまえば、

その力は発揮されません。

あなた方一人ひとりが神なのです。

神はあなた方から切り離された何か別の存在ではないのです。

宇宙の大霊というのは何か形のない、

遠い宇宙の果てにふわふわと浮いている靄のような存在ではありません。

人間の内奥に宿された霊的な資質を発揮すればするほど、

それだけ宇宙の大霊をこの世に顕現させていることになります。

これはぜひ学んでいただきたい教訓です。

霊が進化するということはそのことを言うのです。

そうやって個性が築かれていくのです。

成長するということはそういうことなのです。

シアトルの春 復活祭 the Easter

ある年の復活祭（ｲｰｽﾀｰ）の季節にシルバーバーチは〝死〟を一年の四季の巡りになぞらえて、こう語った。

　「四季の絶妙な変化、途切れることのない永遠の巡りに思いを馳せて御覧なさい。すべての生命が眠る冬、その生命が目覚める春、生命の世界が美を競い合う夏、そして又、次の春までの眠りに備えて大自然が声をひそめはじめる秋。

　地上は今まさに大自然の見事な顕現───春・イースター・蘇り───季節を迎えようとしております。新しい生命、それまで地下の暗がりで安らぎと静けさを得てひっそりと身を横たえていた生命が、いっせいに地上へ顕現する時期です。

間もなくあなた方の目にも樹液の活動が感じられるようになり、やがてつぼみが、若葉がそして花が目に入るようになります。地上全体の新しい生命の大合唱が響きわたります。

　こうしたことから、皆さんに、太古においては宗教というものが大自然の動きそのものを儀式の基本としていたことを知っていただきたいのです。

彼らは移り行く大自然のドラマの星辰の動きの中に神々の生活、自分たちを見つめている目に見えない力の存在を感じ取りました。自分たちの生命を支配する法則に畏敬の念を抱き、春を生命の誕生の季節として、最も大切に考えました。

　同じサイクルが人間一人一人の生命において繰り返されております。大自然の壮観と同じものが一人一人の魂において展開しているのです。

　まず意識の目覚めと共に春が訪れます。続いて生命力が最高に発揮される夏となります。やがてその力が衰え始める秋となり、そして疲れ果てた魂に冬の休眠の時が訪れます。が、それですべてが終わりとなるのではありません。

それは物的生命の終わりです。冬が終わると、その魂は次の世界において春を迎え、かくして永遠のサイクルを続けるのです。

この教訓を大自然から学びとってください。そして、これまで自分を見捨てることのなかった摂理は、これ以降も自分を、そして他のすべての生命を見捨てることなく働き続けてくれることを確信して下さい」

地上界をより美しくしようとする人間の努力は、

私がつねづね霊的知識のもつ道徳的ないし

倫理的価値を強調するのはそのためです。

貧民（スラム）街が存在してならないのは、

神性を宿す者がそんな不潔な環境に住まうべきではないからです。

飢餓がいけないのは、

神性を宿す肉体が飢えに苦しむようであってはならないからです。

悪がすべていけないのは、

それが内部の神性の発現を妨げるからです。

真の美は、物質的、精神的、霊的のすべての面において、

真の調和がいきわたることを意味します
