シアトルの春 マガモの丸焼き

食べられないようにしましょうね。

春になると、我が家のプールにマガモが毎年やってきて、家族の一員となるのですけれど、息子は「たまには食べてみたい」と不穏な発言をするのです。 

最近、近くのジャパニーズ　グローサリー　ストアーに息子と買い物に行ったら、息子が「あれだ｣と指差してくれたのが、マガモの丸焼きでした。或いは他の種類のダックだったのかもしれませんけれど、兎に角。。。。。。。 

其の売場はチキンの丸焼を売るところだったので、私は気にもせず通り越していたのですけれど、言われて見れば、大きな嘴。正にマガモの姿焼き。
「アラー　私は食べたくないわよ｣ 

これが我々の愛しのマガモであるかどうかは知りませんけれど、私のマガモがあんな姿になるなんてやるせない気持ちになりました。

In spring comes, Beautiful Ducks come to visit every year in our pool, we are welcome to them, Our son says that "Sometimes I want to eat."
Recently, I went shopping with my son in the Japanese grocery store,  in one corner son  pointing to me "It's there", it was roast duck.
The corner was selling the grilled chicken usually, but today I saw  a big beak. Exactly Duck figure grilled.
"Oh no! I do not want to eat."
And though this does not know whether it is a mallard of us,  I felt sad.
