ここでサークルの二人のメンバーが身内や知人の死に遭遇すると無常感を禁じ得ないことを口にすると、シルバーバーチはこう述べた。
「霊に秘められた才覚のすべてが開発されれば、そういう無常感は覚えなくなります。
が、これは民族並びに個人の進化に関わる問題です。
私にはそのすべての原理を明らかにすることはできません。
私とて、すべてを知っているわけではないからです。
あなた方より少しばかり多くのことを知っているだけです。
そしてその少しばかりをお教えすることで満足しております。
知識の総計と較べれば微々たるものです。
が、私は神の摂理が地上とは別個の世界においてどう適用されているかをこの目で見て来ております。
数多くの、そしてさまざまな環境条件のもとでの神の摂理の働きを見ております。
そして私がこれまで生きてきた三千年の間に知り得たかぎりにおいて言えば、神の摂理は知れば知るほどその完璧さに驚かされ、その摂理が完全なる愛から生まれ、完全なる愛によって管理され維持されていることを、ますます思い知らされるばかりなのです。
私も摂理のすみずみまで見届けることはできません。
まだまだすべてを理解できる段階まで進化していないからです。
理解出来るのはほんの僅かです。
しかし、私に明かされたその僅かな一部だけでも、神の摂理が完全なる愛によって計画され運営されていることを得心するには十分です。
私は自分にこう言い聞かせているのです───今の自分に理解できない部分をきっと同じ完全なる愛によって管理されているに相違ない。
もしそうでなかったら宇宙の存在は無意味となり不合理な存在となってしまう。
もしこれまで自分が見てきたものが完全なる愛の証であるならば、もしこれまでに自分が理解してきたものが完全なる愛の証であるならば、まだ見ていないもの、あるいはまだ理解できずにいるものも又、完全なる愛の証であるに違いない、と。
ですから、もしも私の推理に何らかの間違いを見出されたならば、どうぞ遠慮なく指摘していただいて結構です。
私はよろこんでそれに耳を傾けるつもりです。
私だっていつどこで間違いを犯しているか分からないという反省が常にあるのです。
無限なる宇宙のほんの僅かな側面しか見ていないこの私に絶対的な断言がどうしてできましょう。
ましてや地上の言語を超越した側面の説明は皆目できません。
こればかりは克服しようにも克服できない、宿命的な障壁です。
そこで私は、基本的な真理から出発してまずそれを土台とし、それでは手の届かないことに関しては、それまでに手にした確実な知識に基づいた信仰をおもちなさい、と申し上げるのです。
基本的真理にしがみつくのです。迷いの念の侵入を許してはなりません。
これだけは間違いないと確信するものにしがみつき、謎だらけに思えてきた時は、ムキにならずに神の安らぎと力とが宿る魂の奥の間に引き込もることです。
そこに漂う静寂と沈黙の中にその時のあなたにとって必要なものを見出されることでしょう。
常に上を見上げるのです。
うつ向いてはなりません。
うなだれる必要はどこにもありません。
あなたの歩む道に生じることの一つ一つがあなたという存在を構成していくタテ糸でありヨコ糸なのです。
これまでにあなたの本性の中に織り込まれたものはすべて神の用意された図案（ﾊﾟﾀｰﾝ）にしたがって織られていることを確信なさることです。
さて本日もここから去るに当たって私から皆さんへの愛を置いてまいります。
私はいつも私からの愛を顕現しようと努力しております。
お役に立つことならばどんなことでも厭わないことはお分かりいただけてると思います。
しかし、楽しく笑い冗談を言い合っている時でも、ここにこうして集い合った背後の目的をゆめゆめ忘れないようにいたしましょう。
神は何を目的としてわれわれを創造なさったのかを忘れないようにいたしましょう。
その神との厳粛なつながりを汚すようなことだけは絶対にしないように心がけましょう。
こうした心がけが、神の御心に適った生き方をする者にかならず与えられる祝福、神の祝福を受けとめるに足る資格を培ってくれるからです」
