そのシルバーバーチが入神霊媒モーリス・バーバネルの口を借りて語る叡智の言葉を聞くために、ここ半世紀の間には実に大勢の人が訪れている。各界の著名人も少なくなかったが、大半は真理を求めて霊的巡礼の旅をつづける、ごく平凡な人たちだった。

本書に収めた資料の大半は、ここしばらく入手が困難だったものである。断片的にはこれまでの霊言集に出ているものも無きにしもあらずであるが、大半は交霊会が始まった初期の頃にサイキックニューズ紙に掲載されたものを切り抜いて大切に保存して下さっていた当時のメンバーの方たち（の家族）から提供していただいたもので、それに私が念入りに目を通して構成した。

こうした珠玉の教えを読み、咀しゃくして、中身の濃いものに仕上げるという作業は、実に愛と忠誠心なくしては出来ない仕事である。永いあいだ忘れられ、そろそろ黄ばみかけてきた切り抜きに新しい生命を吹き込むことができるとは、何と素晴らしいことであろう。それも詰まるところは、シルバーバーチの哲学は決して古びることも、色あせることも、又、その言葉が光沢を失うことも有りえないとの確信があればこそなのである。

かつての交霊会のメンバーの大半はすでにこの地上を去り、実りの彼岸に到達しておられる。それゆえ本書は、そうした先輩たち、見えざる彼岸とこの世との掛け橋を、苦労しつつも喜んで築いてくださった人たちに捧げるものである。

「古くさいおとぎ話はぜんぶ捨て去りなさい。愚かしい迷信を破棄しなさい。偏見のくさりを解き放しなさい。そうしたものがあなたの視野をぼかし、精神を束縛するのです。心にゆとりを持ちなさい。謙虚になりなさい。そして叡智の泉から送られる神の啓示をいつでも受け入れられる用意をしておきなさい。わたしの言葉をお読み下さる方に申し上げます―“行きて汝もそのごとくせよ”と」（ルカ伝）。

かく述べるシルバーバーチのメッセージは、かつてと同様、今の時代にも通用する。いや、今この世にいるわれわれが人生の旅を終えて本来の住処（すみか）である輝かしき霊の世界へ戻ったあとも、末永く愛読されつづけることであろう。

Silver Birch, the spirit guide of the Hannen Swaffer Home Circle, is willing to listen to these questions, which are asked one after another, and based on that, the topic is greatly expanded. There is an exquisite umami that is unique.

In the last half century, a large number of people have come to hear the words of wisdom that the Silver Birch speaks in the mouth of Maurice Barbanell, the medium of the gods. There were many celebrities in various fields, but most of them were ordinary people who continued their spiritual pilgrimage journey in search of truth.

Silver Birch has never been frustrated, complained, annoyed, or angry. I never got any words to do.

Most of the material contained in this book has been difficult to obtain for some time. Fragments are not unheard of in the collection of spiritual words so far, but most of them are cut out and carefully preserved in the early days of the séance. It was provided by (the family) of the members at that time who were doing it, and I carefully read it and composed it.

The task of reading these gems, chewing them, and finishing them with a rich content is a task that cannot be done without love and loyalty. How wonderful it is to be able to breathe new life into the cutouts that have been forgotten for a long time and are about to turn yellow. The bottom line is that you must be confident that Silver Birch's philosophy can never be old, faded, or lose its luster.

Most of the former members of the séance have already left the earth and reached the fruitful equinoctial week. Therefore, this book is dedicated to those seniors, those who have been struggling but willing to build a bridge between the invisible equinoctial week and the other side of the world.

"Throw away all the old fairy tales. Discard the stupid superstitions. Unleash the prejudices. They blur your horizons and constrain your mind. Have some space in your heart. Be humble. Silver Birch's message is as valid as it used to be. No, even after we, who are in this world, have finished their journey of life and returned to the world of brilliant spirits, which is their original place of residence, they will continue to be loved for a long time.
