シルバーバーチ霊団の使命 自分自身についての単純・素朴な真理───これを本当に理解している人が何と少ないことであろう。ところがその自分みずからを知らない人間がとかく他人のことについては、あたかも深い洞察力を持っている人間であるかのような口を利くものである。

こうした中にあって、古来、その霊性の高さと教説の崇高さにおいて際立ったものを見せる存在がいる。人間それ自身についての彼らの説くところには永遠の真実味がある。

私の目には、あれこれと〝大事なこと〟があって毎日あっちへ走りこっちへ走りして、忙しく暮らしながらその実〝一番大事なこと〟を見落とし、なおざりにしているために、心が絶望的でヤケになっている大勢の人々の姿が見えます。このあたりに私どもが説く教えの核心があるのですが、お判りになりますか。
その人たちが日々の生活の中に生きるよろこび───神の子として当然味わうべき充足感を見出してくれるようにと願って霊界から舞い戻ってくるそもそもの目的がそこにあることが判っていただけるでしょうか。
それはいわゆる宗教、教会、信条、教義といったものより大切です。人類を分裂させ戦争と混沌と騒乱の原因となってきた、その類のもののいずれにもまして大切です。が、それは自分という存在についての（霊的存在であるという）至って単純な事実に過ぎないのです。なのに、それを悟っているのはごく僅かな人たちだけで、大多数の人は知らずにおります」さて、こうした霊的啓示をわれわれは、たまたま良い霊媒がいたから得られた、気紛れで無計画なものと受け止めがちである。が、シルバーバーチがこれから明かすように、その背後では幾重にも組織された霊団によって、遠大な計画のもとに推進されている。
